Week 2

Well, week 2 was slightly easier. We were able to complete more of the workouts. We have yet to do the Yoga. Ninety minutes of Yoga is a killer. Our goal is to complete it this week.

As for noticing a difference in our bodies, we are VERY sore. We feel it mostly in our legs and lower back. Hubby's pants are fitting better now, but he complains that the scale says he is gaining weight. His shoulders and chest seems to be getting more defined. As for me, the scale says I'm gaining weight and my stomach looks fatter...not flatter!

We survived week 1...barely!

Ok, we've stuck with P90X for one week now. Whenever we tell friends or family about our new exercise routine, they always say, "You can't get a real workout from following a DVD." Well, our friends who have tried this fitness program know otherwise. So far we haven't found any friends who have stuck with it the full 90 days. So that just fuels my determination to complete this program for 90 days if not longer.

This program is HARD! Hubby and I probably were able to complet anywhere from 75%-90% of the workouts. Hubby found the legs DVD to be difficult, while I hated the arms and back. Our goal is to be able to completely follow the DVD's by the third week. Wish us luck!!!

The Challenge, Day 1

March 29, 2009, Hubby and I decided it is time to get into shape. We purchased the
P90X exercise program. On the first day of the program, you just take a fitness test to see if you are at a certain level to begin training. We had to do a certain amount of push-ups (6-women, 10-men, we had to squat against a wall with our knees at 90 degree angles for 1 minute, etc. Hubby was feeling the burn after the physical test and we hadn't even started working out yet. This is when we realized we were in trouble.

This blog is to document our journey and see if the advertisement is CORRECT!!! It claims that if you follow this workout for 90 days, your body will be ripped! We'll see!!!

Starting weight:
Hubby - 188 lbs.
Me - 111 lbs.

This is embarassing, but here are the before pictures...
